Move your payroll from Zoho Payroll to Wurxa. Checked before anything is saved.
Six steps, most of them done once: bring your team and their pay across by file, see every problem row in a dry run, set up WPS, and run one month in both systems before you switch.
The trial includes Payroll. No credit card.

Wurxa's payroll import: columns mapped, then a dry run that saves nothing. Demo data.
The short answer
You move payroll to Wurxa by file. Add your people to Wurxa first, export your employee data from Zoho Payroll or keep a spreadsheet with one row per employee, then upload it to Wurxa's payroll import. You map each column, run a dry run that saves nothing and shows every problem row, and import once it is clean. Then fill in the WPS details, run one month in both systems and compare before you switch. Zoho Books can stay, with Wurxa's Beta connection sending each month as a draft journal.
How to switch
Step 1: Add your people to Wurxa
The payroll import updates pay for people who are already in Wurxa; it never creates anyone. Add your team in People first, typed in or uploaded from a spreadsheet. If your employee list lives in Zoho People, a spreadsheet of it works the same way.
Step 2: Get your employee data out of Zoho Payroll
Zoho's own help describes a Data Backup under Settings in Zoho Payroll, which downloads your data as CSV files, including employees and loans (Zoho Payroll help: data backup, checked on 12 Oct 2026). Use the employees file from it. Any Excel or CSV with one row per employee also works, including one you keep yourself.
Step 3: Upload, map the columns, dry run, import
Open Payroll, then Import, and upload the file.
Step 4: Set up the WPS details
Each employee needs an IBAN, a bank routing code and a MOHRE person ID for the WPS SIF file. The readiness check lists anyone missing one, with a Fix link straight to that person. Then set up your pay items and overtime, and, if you employ UAE nationals, the GPSSA rates, which you enter yourself.
Step 5: Run one month side by side
Before you stop your old payroll, run the same month in Wurxa as well. Compare each person's net pay and the totals, settle any difference, and only then let Wurxa's month be the one you pay from. Past payslips stay in your previous system; Wurxa starts with the next month you pay.
Step 6: Keep Zoho Books, if you use it Beta
Your accounts can stay where they are. Wurxa's Zoho Books connection, in Beta, sends each locked month as a draft journal for your accountant to review, or you download it as a journal CSV. How the Zoho Books connection works

Switching payroll: common questions
Does Wurxa connect to Zoho Payroll directly?
No. The move is by file: an export or any spreadsheet with one row per employee goes through Wurxa's payroll import, with a column mapping and a dry run before anything is saved.
What does the import bring across?
Basic salary, each allowance, IBAN, bank routing code, MOHRE person ID and join date, matched to people already in Wurxa by employee number, then by email. Each change is saved with an effective date, so it shows in the employee's pay history. Loans still being repaid can come across as a separate import after the salaries.
Does the import create employees?
No. It only updates pay for people already in Wurxa, so add your team first. A row that matches nobody shows in the dry run as "No employee with this number or email".
Is anything saved during the dry run?
No. The dry run shows what each row would change and why any row cannot be imported. Nothing is saved until you choose Import.
What happens to past payslips?
They stay where they are. Wurxa starts with the next month you pay, so keep your earlier records in your previous system or download them before you close it.
Can I keep Zoho Books?
Yes. Wurxa's Zoho Books connection, in Beta, sends each locked month as a draft manual journal for your accountant to review. Without the connection, each month downloads as a journal CSV.
Can I try Wurxa Payroll before switching?
Yes. The 14-day trial includes Payroll, with no credit card. Import your team, run a month and compare it with your current payroll before you decide.
