Leave management system built on UAE labour law
Free for up to 5 employees, with no credit card. Balances that accrue the way UAE labour law says they should, requests and approvals from a phone, and a warning before you approve leave that leaves a site uncovered.
The short answer
Wurxa Leave is leave management software for UAE employers. Balances accrue with UAE labour law defaults, employees request leave from their phone, managers approve from theirs, and Wurxa warns before an approval leaves a site short of rostered staff. Approved and unpaid leave reach payroll without being typed in again. Leave is included on every plan, including Free for up to 5 employees; paid plans start at AED 1,188 a year plus VAT.

Employees request and track from a phone. Managers approve from theirs.

Coverage warnings
A heads-up before you approve leave that leaves a site short-handed.

Team calendar
Who is off and when, across a team or a site, in one view.

Feeds payroll
Approved and unpaid leave reach payroll without anyone re-keying it.
What Wurxa Leave changes for your team.
Leave shares the same people records as attendance, payroll and documents, so an employee is one record rather than four.
Stop answering "how many days do I have left?"
Every employee sees their own balance in the Wurxa app, worked out the way UAE labour law says it should be: nothing in the first six months, two days for each completed month from six to twelve months, then thirty days a year. HR stops being the place people go to find out a number the system already knows.
Where a contract gives more than the law, set that person's allowance and Wurxa uses it instead. The Balances tab shows everyone's usage for the year in one place, so the end-of-year conversation about unused days starts from a figure everyone can see.
Approve leave from the shop floor, not the desk.
An employee picks the type and the dates in the app and the request lands with their manager. The approval card shows the dates, the reason, and the balance the person will have left if you say yes, so the decision takes seconds and nobody has to open a spreadsheet to check.
The employee hears the moment you confirm. If plans change, an approved request can be cancelled later and the days go back to the balance, while the record of what happened is kept. A request over the allowance is flagged for you but still yours to decide, because sometimes there is a good reason.
Know a site will run short before you say yes.
Leave and the roster live on the same record, so Wurxa knows who is working and who is already off at every site. Before you approve, it warns you if the request would leave a site short, instead of you finding out on the morning the shop opens two people down.
Leave can also be marked straight onto the roster, one day at a time, as a real approved request that counts against the balance and shows on the Leave page. A person on approved leave cannot be given a shift that day by mistake.
Every kind of leave, with its own rules.
Annual, sick, unpaid, maternity, paternity, bereavement, exam, time off in lieu and other come ready on day one, and you can add your own. Each type carries its yearly allowance, the countries it applies in, whether it counts as statutory annual leave, whether it deducts salary, whether it needs a reason, and whether it offers a medical certificate box.
A sick day is never silently taken out of annual leave, and an unpaid day is never silently paid. When a change to a type would reach existing requests or salaries, Wurxa tells you how many it affects and asks you to confirm before anything moves.
Leave that reaches attendance and payroll on its own.
Approved leave stops a day counting as absent on the Time board and in the monthly attendance report, so nobody is marked late or missing while on holiday. Leave types that deduct salary flow into payroll, which is where month-end arithmetic usually goes wrong when leave lives in a separate file.
With the payroll add-on, the same records become the month's payroll and a WPS SIF file with every IBAN and routing code checked before the file is made. End-of-service gratuity is worked out from the service dates and basic salary already on the employee's record.
One leave system across every country you run.
Each site keeps its own working hours, weekly rest days and time zone, and each leave type applies in the countries you choose. A team spread across the UAE and the wider Gulf runs one leave system, with the right rules in each place, rather than a spreadsheet per country.

Leave management: common questions
Does it follow UAE labour law for annual leave?
Yes. Annual leave tracks the statutory entitlement automatically: nothing in the first six months, two days for each completed month from six to twelve months, then thirty days a year. You can set a different allowance for anyone whose contract gives more, and public holidays are handled as dates, not leave.
Which leave types are included?
Annual, sick (with a medical certificate box), unpaid, maternity, paternity, bereavement, exam, time off in lieu and other, ready on day one. Each type has its own yearly allowance, the countries it applies in, and whether it deducts salary or needs a reason. You can add your own types too.
Can employees request leave from their phone?
Yes. An employee sees their balance, submits a request and follows its status in the Wurxa app. Managers approve or reject from theirs, and the employee is told as soon as the decision is confirmed.
Will it stop me approving leave that leaves a site uncovered?
It warns you first. Wurxa knows who is rostered and who is already off, so it can tell you a site is about to run short before you approve. It does not block you, because sometimes the answer is still yes, but it never lets a gap happen silently.
What happens when someone asks for more days than they have?
The request is flagged so you can see it is over the allowance, and you decide. Every approval card shows the balance the person will have left if you say yes.
Does leave affect attendance and payroll automatically?
Yes. Approved leave shows on the roster and stops that day counting as absent, and leave types that deduct salary flow into payroll rather than being re-entered at month end, which is where the arithmetic usually goes wrong.
Can different sites and countries have different rules?
Yes. Rest days, working hours and time zones are set per site, and each leave type can apply in the countries you choose, so a team spread across the Gulf keeps one leave system with the right rules in each place.
Is leave management free?
Yes. Leave is included on every plan, including Free for up to 5 employees. Paid plans are one flat yearly price per tier, never per seat, from AED 1,188 a year + VAT for up to 30 employees.
